a fern will be in your sight.
Moist and soggy the soil must be,
a prehistoric delight.
With blades and stems it spreads its spores,
reproducing many more.
The ferns are strong, resilient and FANTASTIC.

Sticky Facts about Benjamin Zephaniah

  • He had dyslexia and left school unable to read or write correctly

  • He was friends with Nelson Mandela;

    B. Zephaniah about Nelson Mandela: "When he was in prison, someone gave him some recordings of my music and some of my books and he read them and when he came out he requested to meet me in London. We had a 10-minute conversation but then he wanted me to do some work in South Africa and we became friends."

  • He was ‘born and bred in Brum’ (Birmingham) the son of a postman from Barbados and a Jamaican nurse.

Share a story every night.

In Autumn, our topic is Ourselves.

Our PE day this term is Monday and Wednesday.

Pupils in Year 6 have swimming every Friday.

Pupils are to come to school wearing the school PE kit on this day.

Plain white t-shirt

Black pumps/trainers

Please do not wear own clothes, it must be the PE kit. If you are unable to get kit, school can provide one for you.
